Age Limit:
Candidates aged 18–26 years are eligible to apply for the post of Police Constable. Only those born between 02.01.1998 and 01.01.2006 (both dates inclusive) can apply.
Age Relaxation:
- OBC Candidates: Upper age limit relaxed up to 29 years.
- SC/ST Candidates: Upper age limit relaxed up to 31 years.
- Ex-Servicemen: Upper age limit relaxed up to 41 years.
- Other conditions regarding age relaxation mentioned in Para 2 of Part II of the general conditions of the Gazette Notification are not applicable to this selection.
Educational Qualifications:
- Candidates must have a Pass in SSLC or its equivalent.
Notes:
- Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates who have failed in the SSLC Examination will also be considered if there are insufficient qualified candidates to fill the quota reserved for them.
- Rule 10(a)(ii) Part II of KS & SSR is applicable.
- Candidates claiming equivalent qualifications must produce the relevant government order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification. Only then will such qualifications be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification.

Physical Qualifications:
Candidates must meet the following minimum physical standards:
(a) Height and Chest Measurements:
- Height:
- 167 cm for general candidates.
- 160 cm for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates.
- Chest:
- 81 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm for general candidates.
- 76 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm for SC and ST candidates.
(c) Other Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be free from any apparent physical defects such as:

- Varicose veins
- Bow legs
- Deformed limbs

Kerala Police Constable Selection Process 2025
The selection process for Kerala PSC Police Constable includes an Endurance Test, Written/OMR Test, and Physical Efficiency Test. Candidates must qualify in each stage to progress to the next and secure the position.
1. Endurance Test:
All eligible candidates applying for the Regular Wing of the India Reserve Battalion must undergo an endurance test, which is qualifying in nature.

Kerala Police Constable Recruitment 2025: Training and Service Conditions
1. Pre-Service Training:
Candidates selected as Trainee Police Constables in the India Reserve Battalion will undergo pre-service training based on a prescribed syllabus.
2. Bond Agreement:
- Selected candidates must execute a bond agreeing to serve in the India Reserve Battalion for a minimum of 5 years after completing their training.
- Failure to fulfill the bond conditions will result in a penalty of ₹50,000.
3. Stipend:
During the training period, Trainee Police Constables will receive a monthly stipend equivalent to their basic pay, or as determined by the government from time to time.
4. Probation:
Upon successful completion of training, appointees to the Regular Wing of the India Reserve Battalion will be placed on probation for a total of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.

Kerala PSC Police Constable Application Process 2025
Candidates must register through the ‘One Time Registration’ (OTR) system on the official Kerala Public Service Commission website: www.keralapsc.gov.in. Once registered, candidates can apply for the post by logging into their profile using their User-ID and password.
Application Process:
- After logging in, candidates should click the ‘Apply Now’ button for the relevant post in the notification link.
- Candidates creating a new profile must upload a recent photograph (taken within six months). The photograph must have the candidate’s name and date printed legibly at the bottom. Once uploaded, the photograph remains valid for 10 years.
- No application fee is required.
- Candidates are responsible for the correctness of personal details and password security. They should ensure all details in their profile are accurate before applying.
- Once the application is submitted, it is considered provisional and cannot be altered or deleted.
