Age Limit:
Candidates applying for the Women Police Constable post must be between 18 and 26 years old, with birthdates falling between January 2, 1998, and January 1, 2006 (both dates inclusive).
- Age Relaxation:
- For candidates from Other Backward Communities (OBC), the maximum age limit is relaxed to 29 years.
- For Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), the maximum age limit is relaxed to 31 years.
Educational Qualifications:
- Required: Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary (Plus Two) Examination or an equivalent qualification.
- Note for SC/ST candidates: If sufficient qualified candidates are not available to fill the reserved SC/ST quota, those who have failed in the Higher Secondary examination may be considered.
- Additional Qualifications: Any equivalent or higher qualifications as declared by the Government, through executive orders or standing orders, will be accepted.
Physical Qualifications:
- Height:
- A minimum height of 157 cm is required.
- For SC/ST candidates, the minimum height requirement is 150 cm.
- Physique & Eye Sight:
- Candidates must be certified by a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant in government service for physique, fitness, and capacity for active outdoor work.
- Vision Standards (without glasses):
- Distant Vision: 6/6 Snellen in both eyes.
- Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen in both eyes.
- Candidates must not suffer from colour blindness, squint, or any morbid conditions of the eyes or lids.
- Physical Defects:
- Candidates must be free from physical defects such as knock-knees, flat feet, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech, and hearing.
Physical Efficiency Test:
Candidates must qualify in any five of the following eight events of the National Physical Efficiency (One Star Standard Test):
- 100-meter run – 17 seconds
- High jump – 1.06 meters
- Long jump – 3.05 meters
- Putting the shot (4 kg) – 4.88 meters
- 200-meter run – 36 seconds
- Throwing the throw ball – 14 meters
- Shuttle race (25×4 meters) – 26 seconds
- Skipping (one minute) – 80 times
Important Notes:
- Physical measurement will be conducted at the time of the physical efficiency test. Candidates who do not meet the prescribed physical measurements will not be allowed to participate in the test.
- Accidents or injuries during the physical efficiency test will disqualify a candidate from further participation.
- The tentative schedule for physical measurement and efficiency tests will be published on January 15, 2025.
