• 19 to 36 years as of January 1, 2025.

• M.G.T.E or K.G.T.E Higher Certificate in Electrical Light and Power.
• Grade III Certificate as Electrician or Lineman from War Technical Training Centre.

• Certificate in Electrical Engineering issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations (State Board of Technical Education) after a 1-year course.
• National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the Electrician trade under the Craftsman Training Scheme (ITI).
• Any other qualification declared equivalent by the Government to a Certificate in Electrical Engineering of minimum one-year duration.
