KPSC Polytechnic Tool & Die Engineering Lecturer Eligibility Criteria 2025
1. Method of Appointment:
Direct Recruitment
2. Age Limit:
20 – 39 years (Born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2005).
Usual age relaxation applies for SC/ST/OBC as per rules.

Departmental Candidates (from Technical Education, PWD, PHED, Industries, Architecture & Town Planning) are eligible with age relaxation equal to their service, up to a maximum age of 50 years as on 01.01.2025.
3. Educational Qualification:
First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized university through regular study.
Preference order for qualification:
- Degree in Tool & Die Engineering (most preferred)
- Degree in Production Engineering
- Degree in Production cum Plant Engineering
4. Weightage for Higher Non-Qualifying Degrees:
- M.Phil (Non-qualifying) – 2 marks
- Ph.D. (Non-qualifying) – 4 marks
- Both M.Phil + Ph.D. – 5 marks
- Post-Doctoral Fellowship – 2 marks
(Weightage only if claimed in application and obtained before last date)
5. Equivalent Qualifications:
Govt. recognized equivalent qualifications, or those that assume the prescribed qualification, are acceptable. Relevant orders must be produced when asked.
6. Acceptable Institutions:
Degrees/Diplomas must be from UGC-approved universities or those established by law in India.
7. Defence Service Liability:
Selected candidates may be required to serve in Defence Services for 4 years, if needed, within the first 10 years of service. (Not applicable to candidates above 40 years).
