RPF SI 2021 is a three-tier exam that is conducted for the recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in the Railway Police Force (RPF) in Indian Railways. The exam is conducted in three stages – (a) Computer Based Test (CBT), (b) 1st Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Document Verification (DV) and (c) 2nd PET, PMT & DV. The 2nd and 3rd stages of the recruitment procedure are purely mandatory but are just qualifying in nature and no marks will be awarded for these two stages. Aspirants who cleared the RPF SI cut off of CBT is qualified to appear for the 1st round of PET, PMT & DV. The RPF SI Cutoff for the CBT is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates must secure in order to be eligible to appear for the next level ie the PET & PMT round.
RPF SI Cut Off 2021
Before attending the RPF SI examination, the candidates must be well aware of the cut off marks in each exam.
Currently, there are three kinds of RPF Cut Off marks. They are as follows.
- RPF Qualifying Cut off: The RPF Qualifying Cut off is the minimum marks the candidates must score in the Computer Based Test (CBT) to qualify in the exam. However, this has been released by the officials along with the RPF notification and is 35% for Unreserved candidates and 30% for the reserved candidates of the SC/ST categories.
- RPF Overall Cut off: This is the minimum total marks that the candidates must obtain in the CBT. This is decided after the exam is conducted based on the total number of candidates who appeared in the exam, the number of vacancies, and the difficulty level of the exam. Moreover, RPF has released this RPF cut off for SI on their official website.
- Sectional Cut off: These are the minimum marks that the candidates must secure in each of the sections of the exam. RPF Computer Based Test has three sections. The sectional cut off marks are different for the three different sections. Candidates must clear the cut off of the respective sections. RPF hasn’t released the section-wise cut off marks as of now.
Therefore, when a candidate clears all the three cut-offs, he/she is qualified and can appear for the next stage of the recruitment process, i.e. for PET and PMT.
RPF SI Group-wise Cut Off
Candidates who score more or greater than the cut off for each round qualify for the next round. Hence, the final cut off is determined by the normalisation of marks. The official RPF Cut Off marks for this year is going to be released after the Computer Based Test is conducted in September-October tentative.
RPF SI Final Merit List
Note that clearing the cut off makes the candidates eligible to appear for the next round of the selection process. It, however, doesn’t guarantee the job. So, the final merit list will be generated on the basis of merit, i.e. the marks you secure in the Computer Based Test provided you also qualify in the next rounds. So, you must ensure that you prepare in a way that guarantees indeed a high score.
