UPSC CAPF Exam Date 2021

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the recruitment notification for the post of CAPF 2021. UPSC is conducting the written examination for the post of Assistant Commandants in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) on 08th August 2021, at various centers across India. On 15^th April 2021, the commission has published the notification on its official website. . The interested and eligible candidates can apply for the post till 25th May 2021.

UPSC CAPF AC 2021 Vacancy Details

UPSC CAPF Examination will be conducted for recruiting to the post of Assistant Commandants in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) such as Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

BSF: BSF full form is the Border Security Force. It is a paramilitary force that guards India’s land Border during peacetime and prevents transnational crime. Border Guarding Force of India is recruiting 35 Central Armed Police Force AC Group A officer through UPSC CAPF exam.

CRPF: CRPF’s full form is Central Reserve Police Force. It was known as Crown Representative’s Police. It became CRPF after the enactment of the CRPF Act on 28 December 1949. CRPF is recruiting 36 Assistant Commandant Officers through the UPSC CAPF exam.

ITBP: Indo Tibetan Border Police Force personnel are deployed on border guarding duties. The number of vacancies CAPF AC recruitment 2021 will fill in Group A vacancies in ITBP is 20 posts.

SSB: The full form of SSB is Sashastra Seema Bal. It is Indian Central Armed Police Forces that provide security in border areas, prevent trans-border crimes, unauthorized entry into the territory of India and perform other duties assigned by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The number of vacancies this year for this post is one 01.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates are required to check out their own eligibility before applying to the post of UPSC CAPF 2021.

• The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institution.
• The candidate’s age must be in between 20 to 25 years.
• The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.

UPSC CAPF AC 2021 Selection Procedure

The candidates will be recruited to the various post under SSC CAPF 2021 is through different selection procedures. The selection will be done on the basis of written examination, physical and medical standard tests, and interview tests. The candidates who qualify in CAPF written test will be called for the Physical Tests and Medical Standards Tests which will be conducted under the supervision of a Nodal Authority to be appointed by the Ministry of Home Affair. Candidates who are declared qualified in the Medical Standards Tests,  will  be summoned for  Interview/Personality  Test. CAPF Interview will carry 150 marks.

UPSC CAPF Exam Pattern

The UPSC CAPF 2021 exam will have two papers.

• Paper I shall consists of General Ability and Intelligence questions
• The paper I comprises of 250 marks.
• Paper II comprises of General Studies, Essay and Comprehension and consists of 200 marks.
• The written examination will be in both English and Hindi language.

• The candidates those who qualifies in Paper 1 and 2 will be selected for the Physical Efficiency Test and Personality test.
