In the last couple of months, PSC had already published the recruitment notification for the Assistant Engineers Civil with more than 100 vacant posts. The vacancy numbers are expected to increase in the coming months. Till May 2021, PSC has invited applications from Civil engineering graduates towards various departments like Kerala State Electricity Board, KSEB, Harbour Engineering Department, Kerala State Housing Board, Irrigation/ Public Works Department (PWD), Kerala Tourism Development Corporation Limited, Kerala State Pollution Control Board, etc.

Kerala Public Service Commission will conduct the written exam followed by document verification to select the candidates for these departments. PSC usually conducts separate written tests for each department even though the exam pattern and syllabus remain the same. Only Public Works Department and Irrigation department have a single written test. The Kerala PSC Assistant Engineer AE Civil exam date is out. The Keala PSC Assistant Engineer AE Civil Exam Date 2021 is October 28, 2021. The examination date is the same for all departments.  Since all of this recruitment have a common exam pattern and syllabus, PSC may conduct a single test for the Assistant Engineer AE Civil exam for various departments.

Assistant Engineer Civil Eligibility Criteria 2022

The required Assistant Engineer Civil 2022 Eligibility Criteria for applying in various departments are:

• Age Limit: The candidate’s age shall be between 19 years and 40 years. The upper age limit may differ for various departments., and candidates are advised to check the recruitment notification published by the PSC before starting their online application. Only candidates born between 1981 January 02, and 2002 January 01 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for these positions. Usual age relaxation will be given to SC/ ST and Other backward Communities according to the government norms. The maximum age limit is relaxable up to 45 years for those who are working in the regular service of the Board.
• Education Qualification: Both direct candidates and departmental candidates, must possess a Degree in Civil Engineering from any UGC recognized university or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto.  OR Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers, India in Civil Engineering.
