APPSC Group 1 is one of the distinguished competitive exams of Andhra Pradesh that is executed by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) to recruit civil servants in the state administration of Andhra Pradesh. The APPSC Group 1 is almost same as the UPSC Civil Service exam. The Group 1 posts give ample opportunities for the candidates to serve society at large and to work for the well being of the people. APPSC Group 1 Online Application Link

The Online Application Link will be activated from 13th October 2022 as stated in the APPSC Group 1 notification 2022. The candidates who are willing to join the APPSC group 1 service first have to submit their APPSC Group 1 Application Form to register themself for the APPSC Group 1 Exam 2022. The last date to submit an online application form is 02nd November 2022 and the last date to submit the application fee is 01st November 2022 (11:59 pm).

APPSC Group 1 Recruitment 2022: Steps to Apply Online

Candidates have to follow few steps given here to apply for any APPSC exam:

➤ Go to the official website, or click on the link given below.

➤ Finish One-Time-Profile-Registration (OTPR) process.

➤ On the page which opens up, click on New Registration for Direct Recruitment.

➤ The candidates will have to submit the following information: Aadhaar Details, Basic Details, Address Details, Educational Qualifications, Photo and Signature Upload, etc.

➤ Review the entered information carefully and click on Submit.

➤ The Reference Id will be generated and shown on the screen.

➤ Go to Login page and enter your credentials.

➤ Fill the details asked in the form and verify them.

➤ Submit the application and do the payment process.

➤ After payment is done, the payment reference id will be generated.

➤ Submit the form and save/print the application receipt.

➤ Use the application receipt for any future reference/correspondence.

APPSC Group 1 Eligibility Criteria 2022

APPSC Group 1 Educational Qualification 2022

The candidates must be a graduate of the any recognized university in India. There are some posts that need additional qualifications. Check the special educational qualifications as mentioned below.

District Fire Officers in A.P. Fire Service. Degree in Engineering (Fire) of any University recognised by the University Grants Commission or any other equivalent qualifications. Provided that if no candidates with B.E (Fire) qualifications are available, candidates with the Degree in any discipline will be considered.
Asst. Treasury Officer/Asst. Accounts Officer in A.P. Treasury & Accounts Service A degree in Commerce or Economics or Mathematics of a University Recognised by the UGC with at least a 2nd class in the subject, or A Chartered Accountants of the United Kingdom or India or an incorporated Accountant (London).
District Social Welfare Officer in A.P. Social Welfare Service Must possess a bachelor’s Degree of any University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or a State Act or provincial Act or an institution recognised by the University Grants Commission. Provided that preference shall be given to persons possessing a degree in Sociology or Social work.

APPSC Group 1 Physical Requirements

There are physical requirements also for some posts in APPSC Group 1 recruitment 2022. Check the post-wise physical requirement in the table given below.

For Post Code No. 03 to 05 General The candidate must be at least 167.6 Cms. in height and at least 86.3 Cms. round the chest on full expansion, with a chest expansion of at least 5 Cms.
S.T. Must be at least 164 cm in height and at least 83.8 cm round the chest on full expansion, with a chest expansion of at least 5 Cms.
For Post Code No. 03 (Women) Must be at least 152.5 cm in height, and at least 86.3 cm round the chest on full expansion, with a chest expansion of at least 5 Cms. and not less than 45.5 Kg in weight.
For Post Code No. 08 Men Must be at least 165 cm in height and at least  86 cm round the Chest on full expansion, with a chest expansion of at least 5 Cms.

APPSC Group 1 Selection Process 2022

APPSC organizes the APPSC Group 1 exam to recruit officers in the provincial civil services. There are three stages in the APPSC Group 1 exam.

➤ Prelims Exam: This stage is used to remove non-serious candidates.

➤ Mains Exam: It is the merit-deciding round.

➤ Interview: It checks the thorough knowledge of the candidates of their expertise subject.

APPSC Group 1 Prelims Exam

The prelims exam is a screening exam that is held offline all over Andhra Pradesh. It serves the purpose by removing the non-serious candidates of the APPSC Group 1 exam. The APPSC Group 1 Prelim admit card is usually issued seven-eight days prior to the exam. The prelims exam is only qualifying in nature and the marks will not be calculated in the final merit list of APPSC Group 1. Check the detailed exam pattern of the APPSC Group 1 exam in the table.

APPSC Group 1 Mains Exam

Those candidates who pass in the prelims exam, have to qualify the APPSC Group 1 main exam to complete the examination process. The Main exam is a conventional offline mode exam. The marks of the main exam will be calculated for the merit list of APPSC Group 1. There are seven conventional written type question papers in the main exam. The English and Telugu papers are qualifying in nature, their marks will not be calculated in the merit list. The rest of the five papers are in General Studies, marks of these papers will be calculated for the final list. Check the detailed exam pattern if APPSC Group 1 mains exam.

APPSC Group 1 Interview

Those who pass the main exam have to attend for the next round which is the Interview. APPSC Group 1 interview at the commission’s office in Vijayawada. The candidate needs to carry all the original documents such as:

➤ Educational Qualification

➤ Date of Birth

➤ Category certificates issued by the competent authority

➤ Age Relaxation Claimed

➤ Professional Experience

APPSC Group 1 Exam Centers

The APSCC Group 1 Preliminary Examination (Screening Test) is taking place in these places. If there is any change in this year notification, we will mention it here.

APPSC Group 1 Exam 2022 Admit Card

The Admit Card for the APPSC Group 1 Exam is generally released 10 days before the exam. APPSC Group 1 Admit Card will be issued separately for each stage on the official website. The admit card for the mains will be published for those candidates only who pass in the prelims exam.
