The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test is a state-level examination performed by the Board of Secondary Education Haryana (BSEH). The BSEH is the one who decides the exam pattern of HTET.

The HTET exam includes three levels, Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3. Level 1 is for Primary Teachers (Standard I – V), Level 2 for Trained Graduate Teachers (Standard VI-VIII), and Level 3 for Post Graduate Teachers (Standard IX-XII) accordingly.

All the papers consist of various subjects relying on the examination level. The subjects change for each paper, the total marks for the examination are 150 with no negative marking.

HTET Exam Pattern 2022: Level 1

The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test is divided into three levels of examination for various posts.

  • It is an examination based on Multiple-Choice Question (MCQ).
  • The examination is for 150 marks with a complete-time duration of 2 hours 30 minutes each.
  • Each question holds 1 mark and there is no negative marking.

This certain level is for candidates emerging for the post of Primary Teacher. There are a total of 5 subjects in the exam and the questions are based on the level of class 1st to 5th.

HTET Exam Pattern 2022: Level 2

This particular level is for contenders emerging for the post of Trained Graduate Teacher. There are a total of 4 subjects in the exam and the questions are based on the level of class 6th to 8th.

This particular level is for contenders occurring for the post of Post Graduate Teacher. There are a total of 4 subjects in the exam and the questions are based on the level of class 9th to 12th.

The Board of Secondary Education Haryana executes HTET for three posts, namely, Primary Teacher (PRT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT). The exam is performed in 3 levels and each paper is set according to the post.

All three papers are for a total of 150 marks and there are zero negative markings. It is an offline (OMR) MCQ-based test and the subjects change according to the paper level. Level 2 (TGT) and Level 3 (PGT) contain a specialized subject opted by the contenders for 60 marks respectively.
