IBPS PO 2023 Selection Process

IBPS PO selection procedure after interview will be taken over by the Institute of Banking personnel selection and the authorities will be providing IBPS PO training after selection. There are proper IBPS PO marks required for final selection and the candidates will only be able to go through with the job after they are trained by the authorities as per the rules and regulations. IBPS PO interview selection is based upon the personality of the candidates and the candidates will have to make sure that they give the correct answer in the interview to be selected. There is a three-stage procedure through which the candidates will be selected by the authorities in this prestigious recruitment opportunity. The candidates will first have to give the preliminary examination which will be followed by the main examination and the last stage of the selection procedure is the interview round which will be conducted one-on-one by the authorities of the organisation.

IBPS PO 2023 Prelims Exam Selection Procedure

This is the first step included in the selection process. The candidates who qualify for this online preliminary examination will be shortlisted for the main examination. Prelims exam is a one-hour objective type examination including three subjects with a total of 100 marks. The candidates should note that there is a negative marking for objective tests. For every wrong answer, 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. If the question is left unanswered there will be no penalty marks. The Candidates have to obtain the minimum cut-off marks in each of the three papers mentioned above in order to be qualified to appear for the main examination.

Prelims Exam Pattern 

The first stage of the selection procedure for the probationary officer in Indian Banking personnel selection consists of the preliminary examination. The candidates have to first film in the application form available at the official website of the organisation and then they will be eligible to give the preliminary examination after the scrutinization of their application forms by the concerned authorities of the organisation.

IBPS PO 2023 Mains Exam Selection Procedure

IBPS PO 2022 Mains Exam has introduced a descriptive paper in English subject. Mains exam includes a total of 4+1 subjects with a duration of 3 hours + 3 minutes on the whole. The candidates should note that there is a negative marking for objective tests. For every wrong answer, 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. If the question is left unanswered there will be no penalty marks. The candidates have to obtain the minimum cut-off marks in each of the papers mentioned above in order to be qualified. The candidates should also obtain the minimum total score in the main examination in order to be shortlisted to appear for the interview.

Mains Exam Pattern 

The candidates who will get good marks in the preliminary examination and the candidates who will pass the preliminary examination according to the cutoff marks available by the authorities will go to the second stage of the selection procedure which consists of the main examination. The details related to the main examination will be available to all of the candidates through email and their mobile numbers.

IBPS PO 2023 Interview Selection

The last stage of the selection procedure is the interview round which will be taken by the authorities of the organisation one-on-one to all of the candidates who have passed the main examination. The details related to the interview round will be available through email or mobile number of the candidates who have passed the main examination. The candidates who have been shortlisted in the main examination will be appearing for the interview for the CRP PO/MT- IX examination. The total marks allocated for an interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in the interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates). Interviews will be conducted by the participating organization. Interviews will be coordinated by the nodal banks in each State/UT and the IBPS and will be conducted at the select centres. The details of the centre, the address of the venue, the time and date of the interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidate in the call letter. Documents Required 

When filling the IBPS PO 2023 online application, separate links will be available to upload each document, select the appropriate link to upload the respective documents like photograph/Signature/left thumb impression/Handwritten declaration. You have to select the file to be uploaded from the system then click on the Open/Upload button to upload the respective document. An error message will be displayed if the file size or format is not appropriate. A preview of the uploaded image is available so check the preview document to check for the clarity of the document uploaded. IBPS PO 2023 Allotment

The candidates will be finally selected based on the marks obtained in the mains exam and the interview. The weightage ratio of the online mains exam and interview is 80:20. The minimum marks have to obtain even in the interview process to be considered for the final selection. A candidate should qualify both in the Online Main Exam and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process. On completion of the interview process, depending on the vacancies to be filled in during the financial year 2021-22 and based on the business needs of the Participating Organisations, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Organisations, based on merit-cum-preference.
