What Happens After You Apply for ISRO URSC Exam 2026?
- Initial screening: Candidates are screened on the academic performance and other details they entered in the online application. Meeting the minimum qualification does not guarantee a call for the written test.
- Written Test / CBT: Held in Bengaluru or other cities across India, online or offline. Hall tickets come by e-mail.
- Skill Test: Held only in Bengaluru. Technician-B has a trade skill test; driver posts have a driving test, which is purely qualifying (60/100).
- Document verification: Your uploaded documents are verified at the Skill Test stage, and mere admission to the exam does not make you eligible for selection.
Quick exam pattern reference:
| Post | Written Test | Skill Test |
|---|---|---|
| Technician-B | 80 MCQs, 1.5 hrs, +1 / −0.33 | 100 marks, qualifying |
| Driver posts | 100 MCQs, 2 hrs, +1 / −0.25 | 100 marks, 60 to qualify |
No Objection Certificate (NOC): For Employed Candidates
If you work in a Central/State Government, PSU or autonomous body:
- Apply only with your employer’s knowledge and prior permission.
- Submit the original NOC at the Skill Test.
- If you get or change a job after applying, inform your employer and submit an NOC.
- Without the original NOC, you will not be allowed to take the Skill Test and your candidature is cancelled.
Biometric Verification
Candidates must be ready for biometric verification (photo, thumb impression and iris scan) at various stages. Any mismatch can lead to rejection, so follow the instructions in your call letter.
