Kerala PSC Assistant Engineer Electrical Age Limit 2026 – KSHB
Candidates must be aged between 18 and 40 years.
- Candidates should be born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2008 (both dates included).
- Usual age relaxation is applicable for OBC (Other Backward Communities) and SC/ST candidates as per Kerala PSC norms.
- Provisional hands already working in the concern are eligible for age relaxation up to a maximum of 5 years, subject to conditions mentioned in the notification (minimum one year of provisional service, certificate of provisional service required, etc.)
For other age relaxation provisions, candidates should refer to Para 2 (i), (ii), (iii), (iv), (vi), (vii) and (xii) of the General Conditions of KPSC notifications.
Kerala PSC Assistant Engineer Electrical Qualification 2026 – KSHB
Candidates must possess ANY ONE of the following qualifications:
- A Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electrical & Electronics) from a UGC recognized university, or a National Institute established by the Central Government, or an institution established by the Government of Kerala, or its equivalent.
OR
- AMIE (India) Section A & B in Electrical Engineering.
OR
- Associate Membership Diploma of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Electrical Engineering, or any other Diploma recognized as equivalent.
OR
- Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, or any other qualification recognized as equivalent.
Additional Note: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable. Candidates holding qualifications recognized as equivalent through Government Executive Orders or Standing Orders, or those accepted by the Commission as equivalent, are also eligible. Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualification must be produced when required.

Important Notes:
- Candidates with Aadhaar Card should add it as ID proof in their OTR profile.

Admission tickets can be downloaded only during the last 15 days before the test date. Failure to confirm within the specified time will lead to rejection of the application.
- Profile corrections made after the last date of application will not reflect in the already submitted application; such changes apply only from the date of correction.

KSHB AE Recruitment 2026 – Special Instructions to Candidates
- Candidates receiving a profile message at any stage of selection asking them to upload documents proving qualifications or other claims must do so within the stipulated time, failing which they will not be considered for further stages.
- If there is a difference between the caste/community claimed in the application and that recorded in the SSLC Book, candidates must produce a Gazette Notification along with a Non-Creamy Layer Certificate/Community Certificate at the time of certificate verification.
- Candidates must read and understand Part II (General Conditions) of the notification before applying. Applications not complying with these conditions are liable to be rejected.
- As per Rule 22 of the Kerala Public Service Commission Rules of Procedure, strict disciplinary action— including disqualification, debarment, invalidation of answer scripts/practical test outputs, or even dismissal (if already appointed)—will be taken against candidates found submitting false claims regarding education, experience, etc.
