Every year LIC housing limited invites the applications for its various posts.If you are looking for a job in the insurance sector then this will be an opportunity for you. LIC HFL is considered as one of the most important exams in the insurance sector.

LIC HFL Exam Pattern 2022

The LIC HFL test pattern for all posts (Assistant, Assistant Manager, and Partners) is the same but the level of difficulty of the HFL test varies depending on the post.

The LIC HFL employment process is conducted in three phases:

  1. HFL Online Testing
  2. Interview
  3. Medical examination

A multiple choice online exam is conducted for the selection of the posts.There are four stages in the online test with 50 marks each making a total of 200 marks.

Students are given 2 hours to write online LIC HFL online exams.

Students who get the minimum cut off marks in the online exam are called for an Interview .

Syllabus For LIC HFL 2022

The LIC HFL syllabus is divided into 4 sections: –

  • Logical Reasoning
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • English language
  • General knowledge
  1.  Reasoning

 For LIC HFL recruitment 2022, 50 questions will be asked from the reasoning section. The total number of marks for the reasoning section will be 50.

Important sections in logical reasoning

Data interpretation Syllogism
Coding-Decoding Inequality
Puzzles Order and Ranking
Input-Output Data Sufficiency
Statement and Assumption Linear Arrangement
Blood relations Analogy

 

  • Data interpretation 

Data interpretation is one of the most important parts in logical reasoning. It includes the analytical skills of interpreting the data given to you in the form of Table, chart, graph or any other format.

  • Syllogism

It consists of certain statements in which the candidates have to derive conclusions from these statements.

  • Coding and decoding

The candidates are asked to decode from the given set of alphabets and numbers.

  • Blood relations

The different blood relations are asked from a series of questions or statements. The candidates have to find out the relationship between two people from the given statements.

        2.Quantitative Aptitude

Number system  Ratio and proportion  Geometric math
Averages  Profit and loss Percentage 
Quadratic equations  Algebra  Permutation and combination
Trigonometry Boats and sterns Time and work
  • Number system 

It is a way of presenting a given set of numbers.we can represent numbers in the form of symbols and digits in a different manners .eg; prime numbers

  • Ratio and proportion 

The candidates have to find out the proportion of the two digits.Two numbers will be given and the ratio between them have to be calculated.

  •  Quadratic equations 

The quadratic equation is used to find out the roots of an equation.quadratic equation is a polynomial of two degree.

    3.English language

Spot  the error  Para jumbles 
Clause test  Fill in the blanks 
Vocabulary  Sentence correction
Synonymous  Antonyms 
  • Spot the error 

A sentence or paragraph which has an error is given to the candidate. The candidate has to find the error in the sentence.it can be grammatical or misspelled 

  • Fill in the blanks 

The candidate has to fill the blanks in the sentences by selecting the correct option. 

  • Synonymous 

Words having the same meaning are selected. 

  • Antonyms 

Words having opposite meanings are selected.

  • Para jumbles

Sentences are arranged in jumbled, the candidate has to arrange the sentences in correct order.

  4.General awareness

Indian banking system Banking terms
Current affairs  history
Computer knowledge  Indian banking system
  • The candidates have to go through the current news and daily updates on the financial sector.
  • 3-4 questions will be asked based on the computer knowledge.
