Banking sector is one of the most sought department among the youth these days. With every passing years the banking sectors are increasing the number of vacancies. Even though RBI Assistant is a clerical cadre exam and IBPS PO is an officer level exam there is no difference in the popularity of the exam. RBI has announced a vacancy of 926 vacancies for RBI Assistant posts in 2020 and IBPS PO has announced a vacancy of 4336 vacancies in 2019.  The application for IBPS PO exam is already closed. Description The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned.

 

Candidate not proficient in the Official / Local Language shall be disqualified.

 

The total marks assigned to the interview stage is 100.

The minimum qualifying marks are 40% for general candidates and 35% for SC/ST/OBC.

The ratio of main exam and interview for final merit list will be 80:20.

RBI Assistant Job Profile IBPS PO Job profile
Verification of both Banking & Non-Banking documents During probation period of 2 years, the bank PO performs almost all kind of bank related activities i.e. from passing a cheque, draft issuance to recommending loan request to his superior. This is done to get them acquainted with various working aspects of the bank.

 

Collection of receipts, maintenance of files, ledger and balance tally etc. After successful completion of the probation period, he is posted in the respective bank branch as an Assistant Manager where he gets to implement his knowledge & ideas.

 

Data entry IBPS POs are responsible for getting new business to the Bank
Respond to RTI queries Accounts and cash handling
Replying and maintaining email logs Handle various departments & coordinate work among department
Initiation of Office Notes belonging to various centres Processing of loans and reporting & verification
To ensure about the financial stability Authorize and generate Reports
To regulate currency and its circulation and any issue associated with the said term. The Bank Assistant Manager work as public relations officer, handle customer complaints and solve various customer related issues such as discrepancies in accounts, rectification of undue charges and look into complaints regarding services provided by the bank.
