The Tamil Nadu Teacher Recruitment Board has released a new notification about the dates for the Teacher Eligibility Test and now the teacher eligibility test has been postponed by the organisation. Previously, the entrance examination was to be conducted from 25th August 2022 to 31st August 2022. The phase 1 entrance examination will be conducted on 10th September 2022 to 15th September 2022. The admit card will be available for all of the candidates from the first week of September. The order for the extension of the examination date was released on the official website of the organisation. Tamil Nadu Teacher Recruitment Board published TNTET Notification on 7th March 2022 on its official website. So far, 6 lakh 33 thousand people have applied for the exam. TNTET Important Exam Dates 2022

TN TET exam 2022 can be taken by all people who want to become a teacher. TN TET 2022 examination must be taken into consideration by all of the people who want to be a part of the Government schools available in the Tamil Nadu state. The recruitment notification was published on 7th March 2022 and you can apply for the entrance examination starting on 14th March 2022. You have to fill out the application form before the last date of 13th April.  Candidates of the General Category who manage to obtain 60% marks on the TNTET Paper 1 or 2 or both will be issued with the TNTET Certificate. BC/BC(M)/MBC/DNC/SC/ ST/PwD category candidates need to obtain 55% marks to get the TNTET Pass Certificate. TNTET certificate is valid for 7 years. Passing the TNTET exam merely means gaining eligibility to apply for Tamil Nadu teaching jobs. It does not confirm your appointment as a teacher.

TNTET Eligibility Criteria 2022 

There are proper educational qualifications that you must follow in order to be a part of the Tamil Nadu teacher eligibility test and all of the candidates must have proper specifications related to the detailed eligibility criteria according to the class that they want to teach in the government schools of Tamil Nadu. You can check out the specifications related to the age limit and also the specific educational qualifications that you must follow and then you can be a part of the organisation.

Educational Qualifications 

Paper Educational Qualification
(I) Minimum Qualifications for TNTET Paper-I (for classes I-V): 1. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

Or

2. Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

Or

3. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

Or

4. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Or

5. Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Or

6. Graduation with atleast 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.,)

(II). Minimum Qualifications for TNTET Paper-II (for classes VI-VIII). 1. Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Or

2. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).

Or

3. Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations.

Or

4. Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

Or

5. Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed.

Or

6. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of B.Ed. (Special Education).

Or

7. Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. the programme, recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET. Moreover, as per existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11.02.2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET.

TNTET Exam Pattern 2022
