The eligibility criteria for Kerala PSC Food Safety Officer for the year 2024 have been released. Check out the age limit and educational qualification below.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have a degree in food technology, dairy technology, biotechnology, oil technology, agricultural science, veterinary sciences, biochemistry, microbiology, or a master’s degree in chemistry or medicine from a university recognized by any of Kerala’s universities, or an equivalent qualification.
• Candidates who claim an equivalent qualification instead of the qualification mentioned in the Notification must present the relevant Government order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification, and only such qualification will be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned.
• In the event of a discrepancy between the original caste/community claimed in the application and that put in the SSLC book, candidates must present a Gazette notification in this respect, as well as a Non Creamy Layer Certificate/Community Certificate, during certificate verification.

Age Limit

• 18-36 Years
• Only individuals born between January 2, 1988 and January 1, 2006 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply for this position. Other backward Communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for the regular age relaxation.

Training

The Food Authority has mandated that the chosen applicants complete training in an accredited facility or institution that has been granted permission for that purpose in order to move forward with their probation.

Probation

All individuals appointed to the position will be placed on probation for a continuous term of three years, beginning on the day they report for duty and lasting for two years.

• Every applicant must register using the “ONE TIME REGISTRATION” method on the Kerala Public Service Commission’s official website, www.keralapsc.gov.in.
• After registering, candidates can submit an application by accessing their profile and entering their password and User ID.
• The ‘Notification’ bar must be clicked by candidates in order to continue.
• Select “Statewide – Direct – General” from the menu.
• To apply for the position, locate the notification link for the Food Safety Officer.
• Select the ‘Apply Now’ button.
• In the needed field, provide the candidate’s name and the date of the photo shoot, as seen on the image.
• Complete the application, select Proceed, and then go ahead and check.
• After looking over the application, select the “Proceed and Submit” option.
