IBPS had declared the examination for the Probationary Officer under the government sector. It is relevant to be updated about the notifications, dates and exam patterns. IBPS PO 2019 expected cut off can be compared to the cut off marks of IBPS PO 2018. There are three phases of the recruitment procedure. Initially, the candidates should pass for the preliminary examination. The candidates who are eligible for the mains examination are instructed to attend it on the day. After the mains examination, the candidates should submit their qualification documents along with other important information to the interview board.
The preliminary exams are to be held on 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th of October 2019. The candidates who apply for the prelims are instructed to attend the examination. After the preliminary, the mains examinations will be conducted on 30th November 2019. The eligible candidates from the mains examination will be called on for the interview. Thus the candidates must be aware of the cut off mark. The expected cut off marks can be calculated per the previous year (2018) cut off marks. A comparison of general cut off marks can bring about a view on the future cut off marks
The cut off marks of 2018 IBPS PO Prelims examination are:
|For the general category, the cut off was||58.75|
|The cut off for the OBC category for the IBPS PO was||55.50|
|For the SC category, the cut off was||49.25|
|The cut off for the ST category was||41.75|
|The cut off for the category of hearing-impaired was||16.50|
|The orthopedically challenged candidates had a cut off of||42.75|
|The visually impaired candidates had a cut off of||38.75|
|In the case of intellectually disabled category, the cut off was||17.00|
This was the cut off range for the candidates of different categories for the IBPS PO Prelims examination which was conducted in 2018. Thus this can be taken as a touchstone for the evaluation of 2019 cut off marks. Comparatively the cut off marks will not face a drastic change or variation.
The cut off marks of 2018 IBPS PO Mains examination are:
|For the general category, the cut off for 2018 mains was||74.50|
|The OBC category had a cut off of||68.38|
|For the SC category, the cut off was||56.38|
|The ST category had a cut off of||35.75|
|The cut off for the category of hearing-impaired was||42.63|
|The orthopedically challenged candidates had a cut off was||53.25|
|The visually impaired candidates had a cut off of||66.88|
|In the case of intellectually disabled category, the cut off was||37.00|
This is the cut off range for the 2018 IBPS PO Mains examinations. The variation in the prelims and mains cannot be much compared as it always has many shifts. The mains examinations of 2017 and 208 can be compared for the 2019 cut off analysis. But the exact cut off cannot be determined after the exams are scheduled.
The quality of questions stands as a background for such a cut off analysis. Apart from analyzing the questions, one can make sure that the cut off marks will be similar to that of the earlier year without much variation. But there were instances where the cut-off marks made rapid and unexpectable shifts. Those shifts were the result of changes in the quality of questions and the introduction of variant question patterns.
Comparatively, we can witness an increased rate of applications for the IBPS PO positions as it olds many beneficiary sections. Along with the average pay-scale, the employees receive allowances and perks according to their needs and interest. The government has a good hand in taking care of the salary accounts of its employees. It is necessary to have a good deal of score to get eligible for the IBPS Clerk post. Thus the candidates need high attention in the changing question patterns and current affairs.
