Kerala PSC Workshop Instructor Selection Process 2026: Exam, Document Verification & Appointment

Step 1: Online Application Submission

The selection process begins with candidates submitting their online application through the One Time Registration (OTR) profile on www.keralapsc.gov.in. This includes:

• Filling/verifying personal, educational, and community details
• Uploading a valid photograph (as per KPSC norms)
• Clicking “Apply Now” from within the specific Category No. 048/2026 notification link

Since no application fee is required, this stage is completely free of cost for all candidates.

Step 2: Exam Confirmation (If Written/OMR/Online Test Applies)

If Kerala PSC decides to conduct a written test, OMR-based test, or online test as part of the selection process for this post, candidates must take an important additional step:

Candidates shall submit a confirmation for writing the examination through their One Time Registration Profile.

• Only candidates who submit this confirmation will be able to generate and download their Admission Ticket (Hall Ticket).
• Confirmation must be done within the stipulated time period notified by the Commission.
• Applications of candidates who fail to confirm within the given time will be rejected absolutely — meaning there’s no way to proceed further without this step.

Keep checking your OTR profile and registered email/SMS regularly for exam confirmation notifications once the selection process begins.

Step 3: Admission Ticket (Hall Ticket) Download

Once confirmed, candidates can generate and download their Admission Ticket through their OTR profile.

• Hall tickets are made available only during the last 15 days leading up to the test date.
• Only candidates who have confirmed participation can access this download facility.
• Always download and print your admission ticket in advance — don’t wait until the last day, in case of technical delays.

Step 4: Written/OMR/Online Test (As Applicable)

While the current notification does not specify a detailed subject-wise exam pattern at this stage, Kerala PSC typically conducts written, OMR-based, or online objective tests for technical posts to assess:

• Core technical/subject knowledge (Electrical Engineering fundamentals)
• General knowledge & current affairs
• General English
• Aptitude/reasoning (for certain technical cadre posts)

Step 5: Document Upload & Verification

At various stages of the selection process, KPSC may send a profile message directing candidates to upload documents proving their:

• Educational qualification (Diploma certificates)
• Experience (if applicable)
• Age proof (SSLC book/birth certificate)
• Community certificate (if claiming reservation)
• Other claims made in the application

Key Rules:

• Documents must be uploaded within the stipulated time mentioned in the profile message.
• Failure to upload on time means the candidate will not be considered for the next stage of selection.
• Original documents must be produced as and when called for by the Commission — even after the initial upload.
• Password confidentiality and profile accuracy are the sole responsibility of the candidate at every stage.

Caste/Community Verification

If the caste/community mentioned in the application differs from what’s recorded in the SSLC book, candidates must additionally produce:

• A Gazette Notification regarding the change, along with
• A Non-Creamy Layer Certificate/Community Certificate

Step 6: Ranked List Publication

After the selection process (test/interview/document verification, as applicable) is completed, KPSC publishes the Ranked List of successful candidates.

Validity of the Ranked List:

The ranked list remains in force for a minimum of one year, and continues until either a new ranked list is published or three years elapse — whichever is earlier.

Being included in this ranked list means you’re officially in the queue for appointment as vacancies are reported to the Commission.

Step 7: Advice & Appointment Against Vacancies

Once the ranked list is active:

• Candidates are advised for appointment strictly in rank order, against vacancies reported to the Commission during the currency of the list.
• Since this notification currently shows “Anticipated Vacancies,” actual appointments will happen progressively as the Technical Education Department reports vacancies.
• 4% of reported vacancies are reserved for eligible Persons with Disabilities (PwD) as per applicable Government Orders.

Rejection Grounds

Applications may be summarily rejected at any stage if:

• Non-compliance with notification conditions is found during processing
• Application terms conflict with the General Conditions (Part II) of the Gazette Notification
• Bogus or false claims regarding qualification, experience, age, or community are detected

Disciplinary Action for False Claims

As per Rule 22 of the Kerala PSC Rules of Procedure, candidates submitting bogus claims are liable for serious consequences, including:

• Disqualification from the particular post
• Temporary or permanent debarment from applying to KPSC
• Invalidation of answer scripts or practical test outputs
• Criminal or other legal proceedings
• Removal or dismissal, if already appointed
• Any other appropriate disciplinary action

No Post-Deadline Corrections

Any profile corrections made by the candidate — either directly or through the KPSC office — after the last date for receipt of applications will NOT be reflected in this particular application. Such corrections apply only from the date they are made, for future use.
