The exam is for 3 hours and has 180 objective-type questions. For each correct answer, 4 marks are awarded while for every incorrect answer, a mark is deduced. But in the case of failure to answer the question i.e. the question is left unattended, and then no points will be deduced for the total.
For the General category/SEBC category candidate 10% of the total 720 marks i.e. 72 marks and above will be qualified. Qualifying marks for SC/ST category candidates is 7.5%.
The selection process does not end with the entrance examination. The exam is followed by a group discussion and an interview. The weightage of marks from each stage of selection is taken into consideration when forming the final merit list according to the information in the table given below.
