The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has released notification on 28th December, 2021 regarding Upper Division Clerk (UDC), Stenographer and Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) vacancies. The three-phase selection process for the ESIC UDC 2022 comprises of Prelims, Mains and Computer Skills Test. Online applications can be submitted for these vacancies from 15 January, 2022 to 15 February, 2022.
ESIC UDC Eligibility 2022
Candidates aspiring to appear for the ESIC UDC 2022 exam must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria before applying online for the desired post out of the total 3847 vacancies. Applications of non eligible candidates will be nullified.

ESIC UDC 2022 Educational Qualification
Candidates should have the following educational qualification :
Upper Division Clerk
- A bachelors degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Working knowledge of computers including the use of MS Office suites and databases.
Stenographer
- Should have passed 12th class or equivalent from recognized board
- Dictation 10 minutes @ 80 words per minute
- Transcription (only on computer): 50 minutes (English), 65 minutes (Hindi)
Multi Tasking Staff (MTS)
Matriculation or equivalent pass from recognized board

ESIC UDC 2022 Age Limit
To be considered for the ESIC UDC post, the candidate must be
- Between 18 to 27 years as on 15th February 2022 for UDC and Steno
- Between 18 to 27 years as on 15th February 2022 for MTS
Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for persons belonging to reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-Servicemen and for ESIC employees and Government Servants. The relaxation given for each category is as follows:

OBC – 13 years SC/ST – 15 years According to Department of Personnel and Training, an applicant is entitled to age concession in different combinations subject to the condition of maximum age of 56 years. Further in the case of a PWD by virtue of being an ESIC/Govt. Employee, concession to him/her will be admissible either as a ‘person with disability’ or as an ESIC/Govt. Employee’ whichever may be more beneficial to him/her. |
Ex – Servicemen | UR – 3 years
OBC – 6 years SC/ST – 8 years The above-mentioned age is after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age |

ESIC UDC 2022 Nationality
Candidates aspiring to apply for ESIC UDC 2022 must satisfy one of the following criteria:
- A Citizen of India
- A Subject of Nepal
- A Subject of Bhutan or,
- A Tibetan Refugee who entered India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement in India
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Candidates belonging to categories (2), (3, (4) & (5) above should have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
