Exam Pattern of Indian Bank PO

The Indian bank PO test pattern is divided into three phases: preliminary examination, main examination and interview. The exam pattern will be given in the official notification of the recruitment. 

The Indian bank PO recruitment process is conducted in three phases:

1. Preliminary examination
2. Main examination
3. Interview

1. Preliminary Examination

According to the exam pattern, the preliminary test consists of four categories. The test paper will contain a total of 100 objective type questions. Candidates will be given a total of one hour to complete these questions. Online test scores will count to 100 marks. Students who get the minimum cut off marks in the preliminary exam are selected for the mains exam. There will be a sectional cutoff for the prelims examination.

2. Mains examination

A multiple choice online exam is conducted in the mains examination. There are four stages in the mains examination with a total of 200 marks. The test paper will contain a total of 200 objective type questions. Candidates will be given a total of two hours to complete these questions. Online test scores will count to 200 marks. Students who get the minimum cut off marks in the  exam are called for an Interview .

• Descriptive examination

A descriptive examination will be held on the same day of the mains examination.

3. Interview

Students who qualified for the PO Main India bank exam will be called for a Personal Interview. A total of 100 marks were allocated for Personal Interview. General students need to earn 40 marks to qualify for the Interview and  SC / ST / OBC / PwD candidates will need to obtain 35 marks.

Final selection

Final selection of the candidates will be based on the aggregate marks of prelims, mains and interview.80:20 ratio is given to the final score.80% to the prelims and mains examination and 20% to the interview. 

India’s PO bank results for Prelims and Mains Online Test will be announced a few weeks after the completion of both tests. Candidates who have minimum cut off marks in the online exam will be invited to a personal interview round.
