ISRO LPSC Eligibility Criteria 2026 – Age & Qualification

Educational Qualification

The essential qualification must be from a recognised State Board/Institution, and candidates must possess the required qualification as on 04.09.2026.

Age Limit (as on 04.09.2026)

Minimum age for all posts is 18 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC does not apply when candidates apply against unreserved (UR) posts. Additional relaxation is available for Ex-Servicemen, PWBD candidates, departmental candidates, meritorious sportspersons, and widows/divorced women as per Government of India norms.

ISRO LPSC Selection Process 2026 – Written & Skill Test

For Post Nos. 813, 814, 815, 816 & 817 (Technical Assistant / Technician / Draughtsman)

1. Written Test – 80 multiple-choice questions, 90 minutes duration, 1 mark per correct answer, negative marking of 0.33 marks per wrong answer. The syllabus is curriculum-based, testing both theoretical and practical knowledge.
2. Skill Test – Shortlisting for skill test is done at a 1:5 ratio (minimum 10 candidates) based on written test performance. The skill test is purely ‘Go/No-Go’ — marks are not counted for final selection.
3. Final Selection – Based purely on written test marks among candidates who qualify the skill test. Academic scores of the notified qualification serve as the tie-breaker.

For Post No. 802 (Fireman ‘A’)

1. Preliminary Medical Examination (PME) certificate to be submitted along with the application.
2. Written Test – 80 MCQs, 120 minutes, 1 mark per correct answer, negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer. Syllabus covers basic chemistry of flammable liquids/gases, LPG properties, pressure-volume-temperature relations, mensuration, gas properties, electrical safety basics, and general knowledge.
3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Conducted in two stages (Stage-1 and Stage-2), shortlisted at a maximum 1:50 ratio based on written test performance and PME norms, on a purely ‘Go/No-Go’ basis.
4. Detailed Medical Examination (DME) – Final panel drawn in order of written test marks among candidates who clear DME. Only one chance is given for DME.

Both Written Test and Skill Test/PET will be conducted only at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
