UNIT 1
FLUID MECHANICS AND HYDRAULIC MACHINES (10 marks)

CHASSIS (10 MARKS )
Chassis & Axles: Frame types, bumpers, sub-frames — dead vs live axle, stub axle arrangements (Elliot, Reverse Elliot, Marmon-Herrington) are important for AMVI job context.
Suspension: Front suspension for 2, 3, and 4 wheelers — MacPherson strut, double wishbone, trailing arm. Rear suspension types. Leaf spring, coil spring, helper spring arrangements, spring shackle. Telescopic shock absorbers.
