The Kerala PSC has notified one vacancy for the post of Assistant Engineer (Electrical) in the Kerala State Housing Board under Category No. 044/2026. However, candidates should note that this is not necessarily the final number of appointments. Additional vacancies reported during the validity of the ranked list will also be filled from the same list. The ranked list will remain valid for a minimum of one year and up to three years, or until a new ranked list is published after the completion of one year, whichever is earlier. Therefore, eligible candidates included in the ranked list may receive appointment opportunities against future vacancies reported during its period of validity.
Kerala PSC AE Electrical Eligibility Criteria 2026 in Detail – Age & Qualification
Educational Qualification (any one of the following):
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electrical & Electronics) from a UGC recognized university, Central Government institute, or Kerala Government-established institution, or equivalent
- AMIE (India) Section A & B in Electrical Engineering
- Associate Membership Diploma of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent diploma
- Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, or equivalent
Age Limit:
- 18 to 40 years — candidates must be born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2008 (both dates included). Usual age relaxation applies for OBC and SC/ST candidates as per Kerala PSC norms. Provisional hands with prior service in the concern may get relaxation up to a maximum of 5 years, subject to conditions.
Reservation:
- 4% of vacancies are reserved for Differently Abled candidates as per G.O.(P) No.13/2024/SJD dated 17.10.2024, in line with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
