These KSEB Sub Engineer Preparation Tips will help you get the most from the 120 days:
- Study the syllabus first. The note in the syllabus says questions from other topics of the educational qualification may also appear, so keep your diploma-level basics strong.
- Give priority to Module II. It carries 20 marks, so keep it as your strongest module.
- Practise numericals daily. Many topics in the syllabus are marked “problems”.
- Make formula sheets early. Add to them as you finish each module, so the final revision is quick.
- Link related topics. Studying diodes, rectifiers and SCR together saves time across Modules V and VI.
- Maintain an error log. Write down every wrong answer with the correct concept and revise weekly.
- Practise with negative marking. Skip questions you are not sure about, as Kerala PSC objective papers usually have negative marks. Check the notification for the exact rule.
- Revise fact-based topics regularly. IE Rules, earth resistance values, types of lamps and instruments need repeated revision.
- Stay consistent. Seven focused days a week beat irregular long sessions.
