- Reasoning and computer aptitude – The first section of the paper is the Reasoning and computer aptitude. Here you will have to answer 40 questions in 40 mins and the maximum marks are 50. You will have to be prepared for the exam accordingly.
- General/Economy/Banking Awareness – Second section is the General/Economy/Banking awareness, where you will have to answer the 40 questions regarding the Economical, General and Banking knowledge. The time allotted is 40 minutes and the total marks are 50.
- English language – Third section is the English language. Here the 40 questions will test your knowledge of English language basics. The time allotted is 40 minutes and the total marks are 50.
- Data Analysis and Interpretation is the fourth and final section that will test your data analyzing and interpretation skills. You will have to answer 40 questions in 40 minutes and the total marks are 50.

The syllabus of English covers basic topics which are taught in school, colleges like Synonyms, Homonyms, Antonyms, spellings, word formations, idioms and phrases, grammar, spotting errors, filling the words, sentence correction, active/passive voice, Direct and indirect speech, reading comprehension, passage completion, theme detection and deriving conclusion etc.
Another most important subject you need to focus on is Data analysis. Here you will have to learn different ways of analyzing data like Pie charts, tables, bars and graphs, Line charts etc.
The next subject you have to study is Reasoning. The key areas in the reasoning that we have to focus on are; Analogy, classification, word formation, statement and conclusions, syllogism, statement and assumptions, statement and arguments, coding, and decoding, blood relations, passage and conclusions, alphabet test, series test, Number ranking and time sequence, direction sense test, decision-making test, figure series, input and output, assertion and reasoning etc.
The most important area to focus on while preparing for the SIB clerk exam is general awareness. This includes Banking terms, abbreviations and economic terminologies, an overview of the financial system, History of the Indian banking system, recent credit, monetary policies, Important Govt schemes on capital and money market, Introduction to Financial institutions of India like RBI, SEBI, IRDA and FSDC etc.
Finally, the last subject in the syllabus is computer knowledge. Here you have to know about the History of computers, the basics of hardware and software, the basics of the Internet, terms and services, basic functionalities of MS office, networking and communication, database basics, basics of hacking, security tools and viruses.
