ESIC Exam Pattern For Upper Division Clerk (UDC) 2022
The ESIC UDC Exam Pattern includes three stages and the details for all three stages are mentioned as follows.
ESIC UDC Phase-1 Prelims Exam
Phase –I Preliminary Examination is qualifying in nature and marks will not be considered for final merit. For each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of one-fourth of the mark allotted to that question. The contenders will be shortlisted for Phase-II in the ratio of 1:10 i.e. about 10 times the number of vacancies in each category based on their performance in Phase – I Preliminary Examination.

ESIC UDC Phase-2 Mains Exam
The marks acquired in Phase-II Main Examination will be assessed for final selection. For each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of one-fourth of the mark allotted to that question. The contenders will be shortlisted for Phase-III Computer Skill Test in the ratio of 1:5 i.e. about 5 times the number of vacancies in each category based on their performance in Phase-II Main Examination. The ESIC UDC mains exam is an objective type test in nature.

Phase-3 Computer Skill Test
The working knowledge of computers in respect of PWD Contenders who are unable to type shall be considered by holding an Objective Type Computer Test of 50 Marks having 50 Questions with no negative marking. Computer Skill Test will be qualifying in nature and the marks acquired will not be assessed for merit ranking. Phase three or the computer skill test of the ESIC UDC is also qualifying in nature and has the following mentioned parts.
