Kerala PSC Departmental Test 2026 – Admission Ticket Rules
The photo and name are already printed on the ticket as a scanned image. Do not paste any photograph on it. Candidates who paste one over the scanned image will not be allowed to write the exam.
If the scanned photo is not of the specified size, not identifiable, or lacks your name and date, you will not be admitted.
Get the ticket attested by your Head of Office. Producing a ticket without proper attestation or without the PSC emblem can invalidate your answer script.
Do not alter anything on the ticket (centre, subject). Unauthorised correction can lead to debarment for a minimum of three years.
For online exams, you must note your seat number on the first page of the ticket. Without it you cannot enter the hall.

Kerala PSC Departmental Test 2026 – Changing Your Exam Centre
Candidates who need a centre change because of a transfer from one station to another can apply on or before 9 November 2026, with the reason and supporting documents, to the Joint Secretary, Departmental Test, Thiruvananthapuram – 4. No other centre change is allowed under any circumstances.
Kerala PSC Departmental Online Exam 2026: What to Expect
100 questions per test, shown one at a time, answered by mouse click only.
+1 mark for each correct answer and 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer.
Login with your Register Number and Date of Birth (DDMMYYYY) using the on-screen virtual keyboard.
The invigilator gives an access code for the second level of login. Note it on your admission ticket.
A strip of 100 boxes at the bottom shows answered, unanswered and marked-for-review questions.
The exam ends automatically when the timer hits zero, and your answers are saved.
You must attempt at least one question, or your candidature is invalidated.
All candidates are under camera surveillance.
A rehearsal module is available in your profile until the exam date. From 01.01.2026, demo or mock tests are not conducted along with the online exams, so practise on the rehearsal module beforehand.
Malayalam translation is available for questions in both OMR and online modes.
Kerala PSC Departmental Test 2026 – Important Instructions
Books:
Take only the prescribed government-published text books for “with books” papers, along with Government Acts and Rules that amend the codes.
Notes, commentaries, guides, digests and summaries are banned.
A few private publications are permitted for specific papers (for example the bare Constitution of India for Account Test (Higher) Part II Paper I, and listed titles for Motor Vehicles, Panchayat, Civil Judicial, Excise and Revenue tests). Check Para IV of the notification.
Photocopies are not allowed unless the instructions with your admission ticket say so. Do not share books with other candidates.
Banned items: Watches, smart watches, mobile phones, calculators, digital diaries, pen drives, memory cards and any electronic or communication device.
Penalties: Violations such as carrying electronic devices or unauthorised books, not signing the signed list, writing at another centre without sanction, or leaving the hall during an OMR/online/descriptive exam can lead to invalidation and debarment for a minimum of two years.
Postponement: New dates are announced through print and visual media and the KPSC website. Individual communication is not sent. You use the same admission ticket on the new date.
Travel allowance: Candidates eligible for TA must get an attendance certificate from the Chief Superintendent on the day of the exam.
Preparation Tips Before Kerala PSC Departmental Exam 2026
Use the 30 days left to finish the codes and manuals for your papers, with a focus on with-books papers, where speed in locating provisions matters.
Practise the online rehearsal module in your profile.
Note which of your papers fall on the same day. Some days have morning and afternoon sessions.
Download and attest your admission ticket early, and check the centre address on it.
Don’t take electronic devices or watches to the centre.
