The general age limit for this post is 20 to 32 years. Candidates must have been born between 02 January 1994 and 01 January 2006 (both dates inclusive).

Kerala Police Driver Exam 2026 Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Education Examination (Plus Two / 10+2) or its equivalent from a recognized board.
Qualifications declared equivalent by the Government through executive orders or standing orders, and higher qualifications above the basic prescribed qualification, will also be accepted. Relevant government orders must be produced when called upon by the Commission.
Kerala Police Driver 2026 Technical Qualification (Driving License)
This is a critical requirement. Candidates must possess a current, valid Driving License with Driver’s Badge covering ALL of the following vehicle categories:
- Motor Cycle with Gear
- Light Motor Vehicles (LMV)
- Heavy Passenger Vehicles (HPV)
- Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV)
Critical Rule: The driving license with badge must remain current and valid on each and every stage of the selection process — the last date of application, OMR Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Practical Driving Test, and One Time Verification. A lapsed license at any stage will disqualify the candidate.
Candidates will also need to demonstrate driving proficiency in LMV / Heavy Passenger Vehicles / Heavy Goods Vehicles during a Practical Driving Test conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission.

Candidates must be free from: knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, defective speech, and hearing impairments. They must also be free from epilepsy, vertigo, heart/lung disorders, and addiction to alcohol or tobacco.
Kerala Police Driver 2026 Medical Certificate Requirements
A medical certificate in the prescribed format must be uploaded to the candidate’s KPSC profile and the original produced at the time of the Physical Efficiency Test / Practical Test. The certificate has two parts:

Police Constable Driver 2026 Pre-Service Training
Every person appointed to this post must undergo pre-service training for a period of nine (9) months in the Armed Police Battalions, Police Training College, or Kerala Police Academy, as decided by the State Police Chief.
