IBPS has invited applications from eligible candidates to fill nearly 8354 vacant posts from 45 different Regional Rural Banks(RRB) across the country. 3674 vacancies are reported for the office assistant posts while for officer scale I 3352 posts are available. Graduates below 30 years with knowledge of regional languages can apply for these posts

Office Assistant & Officer Scale I has similar exam pattern for both preliminary and main examination :

For Officer Scale I,II & III have only single stage written examination followed by the interview.
For Officer Scale II(General Banking) & III

Time constraint would be the main issue for the candidates. You are suppose to attempt 80 questions within 45 minutes. Within 30 – 35 seconds, candidate should solve one question. If you want to score well you have to answer maximum number of questions. One should solve at least 60 -70 questions in order to consider in the safe zone.
Among the two sections in the preliminary examination Reasoning is considered to be easy. Candidate should try to solve 30 – 35 questions from this section. Daily practice is necessary. Try to attempt mock tests at least one in a week.
Numerical ability is considered to be time consuming and hard to crack. But in most of the IBPS examinations there are certain pattern of questions that are repeating every year. Candidates should try to solve as many questions as possible before the final examination date.
