The Company reserves the right to alter the examination’s structure, which will be communicated via its website. Candidates will be able to receive an Information Handout along with their call letters from the Company’s website, which will contain further specific information on the test. The marks earned on the Descriptive Paper (English Language) will be used to determine merit. It will only be reviewed for those applicants who pass the Objective (MCQs) test and are positioned appropriately high in the objective test’s total marks. ECGC will determine the various qualifying cut off marks in each area of the objective tests and the descriptive paper.

ECGC PO Exam Pattern 2023 Objective Test
According to the official notification PDF for the ECGC PO Exam Pattern, the examination consists of two levels: an Objective test followed by a Descriptive test. To qualify for both tests, candidates must achieve the minimum required score. The written examination comprises five sections: Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, Numerical Ability, Professional Knowledge, and English Language.
The Descriptive paper commences once the allotted time for the Objective paper has elapsed. Candidates are expected to type their responses for the Descriptive paper on a computer. Conversely, in the Objective paper, candidates must select the correct answer from the available options.
Each section of the Objective paper has its own specified time limit. For every correct answer in the Objective paper, candidates earn 1 mark, while a penalty of 0.25 marks is deducted for each incorrect answer.
To advance in the selection process, candidates must meet the ECGC PO Cut-Off 2023 criteria for both levels of the examination.

ECGC PO Exam Pattern 2023: Description Paper
After the objective test, there will be a descriptive test of 40 minutes. The descriptive test will contain 2 questions- Essay and Precise Writing for a total of 40 marks.

ECGC PO Recruitment 2023 Interview
Candidates who passed the written test with a score equal to or higher than the ECGC PO Cut Off 2023 will be invited to the interview stage. According to the official notification from 2023, the interview stage will be worth 60 points, and candidates must pass it. The corporation also established a minimum qualifying mark for all student categories. Unreserved applicants must receive at least 40% of the total marks to be considered. Candidates from the SC/ST/OBC/PWBD categories must get 35 per cent of the total marks. Aside from that, the Online Examination and interview will be weighted 80:20, respectively.
