• Passed SSLC/HSC/Degree with Tamil as one of the languages, or

• Candidates in the “Others” category (not SC/SC(A)/ST/MBC-DC/BC(OBCM)/BCM) who have completed 5 or more years of government service are not eligible, even if within the age limit.
• Audit Inspector, Executive Officer Grade III, and Assistant (HR&CE) posts are open only to candidates professing the Hindu religion.
• Jailor (Special Prison for Women) and Male Warden posts have gender-specific eligibility.
• Jailor (Men) is not open to female candidates.
