What Is the Kerala PSC 12th Level Exam?
The 12th level exam is for candidates who have passed Plus Two (Higher Secondary) or an equivalent qualification. Posts under this category include Civil Excise Officer, Fireman and Women Civil Police Officer, along with Typist, Clerk and LDC-type posts. To be selected, candidates need to clear the Plus Two level Preliminary Exam, the Main Exam and, for some posts, the Interview
Stages of recruitment
| Stage | What it is |
|---|---|
| 12th Level Prelims | A common screening test for many Plus Two posts |
| 12th Level Mains | A post-specific exam for shortlisted candidates |
| Other tests | Physical, practical or skill tests and interview, depending on the post |
The prelims is only a qualifying exam, and its marks are not added to the mains marks. That means your PSC 12th prelims notes should get you through the cut-off, while your PSC 12th mains notes decide your rank.
