KPSC has come up with the Fireman notification(Category No.: 139/2019) on 15th October 2019. The candidates who have completed the application procedure must have started their preparation for the exam. KPSC exams have more or less a similar pattern of syllabus. Kerala PSC Fireman Exam Pattern
The candidate selection is done through:
- Written or OMR or Online examination.
- A mandatory Physical Efficiency Test.
The job aspirants are directed to complete their application procedure through the One-Time Registration portal before 20th November 2019.

The candidates selected after the Physical Efficiency Test, are posted to the department with a probation period after the successful completion of the training period.
Training will be for 6 months in the State Fire Service Training School or any other institution as may be fixed and pass the examination in the subjects prescribed for the course.
After that, there will be practical training for Six months at any Fire station and a pass in the examination in the subjects prescribed for the course.
Candidates will be having another written and practical test during the last fortnight of the period of training at the close of training. Those who fail to qualify in either one or both tests shall have their training extended for a further period of one month.
The probation period will be of a total of three years, inclusive of the training period and two years on continuous duty.
