Railway recruitment board (RRB) takes care of the recruitment process of Indian railways. The RRB JE Recruitment includes recruitment to the post of Junior Engineer (JE), JE Information Technology, Depot Material Superintended (DMS), Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA).  RRB JE 2020 Selection Process

The RRB JE Exam Pattern consists of the following 4 stages:

  1. First Stage of CBT (computer based Test)
  2. Second Stage of CBT
  3. Document Verification / Medical Examination
  4. Final Selection

RRB JE 2020 Exam Pattern

The details on the exam pattern is given below

  • The examination consists of objective type questions
  • Each correct answer will be rewarded one mark
  • For every wrong answer 0.33 of the marks will be deducted
  • The normalised score qualifies candidates to the next round that is CBT 2 examination of RRB JE
  • The question paper will be available in the following languages: English, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Konkani, Odiya, Assamese, Bengali, Manipuri, and Malayalam.

RRB JE CBT 1 Exam Pattern

 The minimum passing percentage for each category are mentioned below:

  • General category candidates must score 40% to qualify to Stage 2
  • OBC and SC candidates have to score at least 30% to qualify to Stage 2
  • ST candidates must score 25 to qualify to Stage 2

 RRB JE CBT 2 Exam Pattern

Only the qualified candidates in stage 1 examination will appear for the stage 2 examination.

  • The examination consists of objective type questions

 The minimum marks required to qualify RRB JE Stage 2 are as follows:

  • Candidates belonging to general or unreserved category must score 40% (60 marks)
  • OBC and SC candidates must obtain at least 30% (45 marks)
  • Candidates belonging to ST category have to score 25% (37.50 marks)

The following are the syllabus for 50 marks out of the total of 150 marks CBT 2 examination of RRB JE.
