Applications have been invited from qualified aspirants by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to the posts of ‘Assistant’ for the year 2021-22. Similarly, RBI Grade B 2022 official Notification is likely to be released during January and February of the year 2022. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued a total of 322 vacancies for the posts of Grade B Officer under recruitment drive last year. More than 300 RBI Grade B officer vacancies are expected to be issued for this year’s RBI Grade B 2022 recruitment.

Eligibility Criteria by Age: RBI Assistant vs RBI Grade B
RBI assistant post prescribes an age limit of 20-28 years for the general i.e. unreserved category. The RBI Grade B Official Notification states that the applications are invited from aspirants who belong to the age group ranging from 21 to 30 years. They should have attained the prescribed age range on or before January 01, 2022. But applicants who are holders of M. Phil and PhD degrees are provided relaxations in age restrictions. The maximum age for such candidates is 32 and 34 years respectively as per the official notification. Besides this, the applicants belonging to the reserved categories are also eligible for relaxation in the maximum age limit. This age relaxation is given according to the Government of India norm. Age relaxation allowed for individuals of other categories is as given in the table below.

- For RBI Assistant there is a language proficiency test for the people who qualify for the main exam. No interview for RBI assistant.
