The Tie-Breaking Rule 

If two or more candidates secure the same score in Kerala PSC Departmental Test (in Prelims as well as in Mains Exam), these tie cases will be resolved by applying one after another, as applicable till the tie is resolved.

• If candidates have equal marks in total (Main examination + interview taken together), the candidate with higher marks in the Main Examination will be ranked higher.
• In case of having equal marks in the Main Examination, the candidate with a higher qualification or in case of similar qualification, the candidate with higher scores in graduation will be ranked higher.
• In case of a further tie-up, seniority will be ranked higher ie the candidate who is senior in age will be given first preference.
