The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on its latest notice has postponed a few exams in view of the Assembly Elections in the State of Bihar. The examinations were earlier scheduled for the period from 28.10.2020 to 07.11.2020. However, the change in exam date is applicable only for the candidates with exam centres in Bihar.

New Dates for SSC Exams 2020
Even though the SSC Exam dates are postponed to candidates with exam centres in Bihar, all other candidates will take up the exam from 27.10.2020 to 30.10.2020 itself. There is certainly no change in the exam dates for the other centres of examination. The major exams which are postponed due to the Bihar Assembly Elections are:
- Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts)
- Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination, 2019
- Examination for the Selection Posts Phase VIII/2020
- Stenographer Grade ’C’ & ‘D’ examination, 2019
- Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & contracts) Examination, 2019

However, the schedule of the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) level examination, CHSLE-2019 Tier-I Exam bears no change. The Examination will be held as previously scheduled from 12.10.2020 to 26.10.2020.
