Direct recruitment method is prescribed by the Kerala Public Service Commission for the position of Village Field Assistant. So, what does direct recruitment under the Kerala PSC mean?
Direct recruitment under the Kerala Public Service Commission is the selection process in which can candidates can apply without any barriers of caste or status. The candidates are advised to join for the job within a year by the recruitment board before the publishing of the next rank list
The selection process for the village field assistant is subjected to the special conditions made by in G.O.(MS) No.154/71/PD dated, 27/05/1971.
- Applicants recommended for appointment in one tax district from the Ranked List provided is not available for transfer to the different area except he/she completes five years of endless assistance from the date of initiation of service in the previous district.
- Also, if a transfer is released after five years, it will be controlled by the rules in G.O(MS) No. 4/61/PD, dated 02.1.1961.
- Applicants now in Government aid having this post in any one district are prevented from applying for this position.

- If there is a change in caste/community regarded in the SSLC book, applicants are obliged to claim their original caste/community in the form and provide a Caste/Community Certificate
