Candidates having the following educational qualification was only eligible to apply for the Scientific Assistant post:
Master’s Degree in Chemistry or equivalent branches of Chemistry or in Forensic Science or Biochemistry approved by any University in Kerala obtained after a regular course of study with 50 % marks.
The exam for the same was held on 13 April 2021. And, the provisional answer key was released on 08th June 2021.

How to file objections against Provisional Answer Key?
Candidates can check the provisional answer key and can file their complaints online, if any, regarding the Provisional Answer Key until 5 (Five) days after the examination is over. For submitting the complaints regarding the answer key, follow these steps:
- Log in to the One-Time registration profile of Kerala PSC- Thulasi.
- Then click on the tab- ‘Answer Key Complaints’.
- In the newly opened window click on ‘File a Complaint.
- The enter details like- Date of Exam, Name of Post, Question Number, Complaint, and the Reference or proof-like books or journals to resolve your complaint.
- The save the same.

The final answer key will be released after the complete corrections of the complaints reported by the candidates against the provisional answer key. After that the shortlist for the candidates who have scored above the cut-off marks will be published. The cut-off marks will be decided by the Kerala PSC and depend on the number of candidates who appeared for the exam, difficulty level of the exam, vacancies reported, etc.
