SBI Clerk vs IBPS Clerk – Work pressure

Compared to SBI Clerks, the work pressure is less for IBPS Clerks working in PSBs. They are assigned time oriented tasks. There might be pressure initially due to more work, but in time the employees will get used to the work schedule and feel relaxed. The working hours are fixed.

In case of SBI Clerk, you will be assigned a lot of work on a daily basis and the work intensifies with time. The work is more challenging compared to IBPS Clerks.

SBI Clerk vs IBPS Clerk: Posting

IBPS Clerk

Since most PSBs have a lesser number of branches across the country compared to SBI, the chances of getting posted near your home/native place are less.

SBI Clerk

SBI has a vast outreach compared to other PSB’s, you will find an SBI at every nook and corner across the country, hence you can be posted anywhere in the country. On the flip side, chances of you getting posted increases because of a number of branches.

SBI Clerk vs IBPS Clerk: Career growth

IBPS Clerk

The Bank Clerk will be promoted to Officer Cadre in 3-4 years. The clerks can reach the Senior Management position after 20-25 years of working.

SBI Clerk

There is a high chance of getting promoted as a Trainee Officer in just 3-4 years. Trainee Officer is equivalent to Probationary Officer. Working in SBI provides more exposure compared to other PSBs.

We’d recommend IBPS Clerk for those who want a job with a decent salary, job security and limited work pressure and responsibilities and SBI Clerk for aspirants looking for a challenging job, who can cope with extra work pressure, wish to earn more and reach a high position in lesser time.
