Kerala Public Service Commission has sent out the much-awaited Last Grade Servant (LGS) notification. The last LGS exam was in 2023 and the rank list will be valid up to June 2025 .

Kerala PSC LGS Education Qualification

Candidates should have passed the 07th standard and should not possess any degree/ graduation. Candidates studying in the final year/ semester of graduation degree are also eligible; given that they should not possess the degree before the last date for application.

Age Limit

18 years to 36 years. Candidates born between January 02, 1983, and January 012001 (both dates included). Age relaxations according to the government norms are applicable.

KERALA PSC LGS SYLLABUS AND EXAM PATTERN

Kerala PSC LGS Salary 2023

• The pay scale of newly selected Last Grade servants would be in between, Rs. 16,500 – Rs. 35,700.
• House Rent Allowance (HRA) – Rs. 1500 (B2 class cities and above), Rs. 1250 ( other cities and towns) and Rs. 1000(others).
• B2 class city and above includes Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kochi, Thrissur, Kozhikode, and Kannur. Government institutions within 01 km of the above-mentioned cities also have HRA of Rs. 1500/ and city compensation.
• The employees of Forest complex at Mahottam, Kozhikode is eligible for HRA at the rate of B2 cities.
• City Compensation Allowance- Rs. 350/.
• Dearness Allowance (DA)- Rs. 6800/.
• The differently-abled employees will get an allowance of Rs. 800 per month.

Selected candidates in the LGS will be deployed as the multi-tasking staff in various government departments.  These posts include cleaners, watchers, gatekeepers, etc.
