Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released an official notification regarding recruitment for the posts of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator and Senior Hindi Translator for various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India. Interested candidates can check the eligibility criteria and apply online through the official website: ssc.nic.in. Applications can be submitted form 20th July 2022 until 4th August 2022. SSC JHT Eligibility Criteria 2022
Staff Selection Commission has laid down certain criteria to select eligible candidates for the post of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator and Senior Hindi Translator. These are Group ‘B’ posts. Candidates should ensure that they satisfy all these criteria before applying for the post. The applications of those who do not fulfill the criteria will be rejected.
Nationality
Applicants must be one of the following:
- A citizen of India
- A citizen of Nepal
- A citizen of Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
All applicants other than Indian nationals should have a certificate of eligibility which has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility
certificate has been issued to him/ her by the Government of India.
Age Limit
Candidates should be between the age of 18 to 30 years as on 1st January 2022 i.e. candidates should be born on or after 2nd January 1992 and not later than 1st January 2004.
Age relaxation for various categories is applicable as follows:

Education Qualification
Applicants should have any of the following educational:
For post codes ‘A’ to ‘D’ (Junior Hindi Translator/ Junior Translator in various Central Government Ministries/ Departments / Offices):
- Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR
- Master’s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR
- Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of an examination at the degree level; OR
- Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR
- Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level, AND
- Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years‟ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.
For post codes ‘E’ (Senior Hindi Translator in various Central Government Ministries/ Departments/ Offices):
- Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR
- Master’s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR
- Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of an examination at the degree level; OR
- Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR
- Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level AND
- Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or three years‟ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.
The candidates must possess Essential Qualification on or before the closing date for receipt of online applications 4th August 2022.

SSC JHT Recruitment 2022 – How to Apply?
1: In a certain code language, ‘ROK’ is written as ‘44’ and ‘MIG’ is written as ‘29’. What will be the code for ‘TAL’ in that code language?
- Applications must be submitted online through the official website – ssc.nic.in
- Carefully fill in all the required information.
- Upload the scanned color passport size photograph in JPEG format (20 KB to 50 KB). The photograph should not be more than three months old from the date of publication of the notice of examination. Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height). The photograph should be without cap and spectacles.
- Pay the application fee. Applications received without the prescribed fee shall not be considered and summarily rejected.
- Before submission of the online application, check that all the details in each field of the form are correct.
- Submit the form and take a print out.
Application Fee
A fee of Rs. 100 should be paid during the application form. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disability (PwD) and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee. Fee can be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan. Online fee can be paid by the candidates up to 05.08.2022.
